Oliver was our introduction to dog showing although was never that keen on it as a youngster with the result being extremely hard work for me in the ring – my first show dog and by far the most difficult – a very good grounding for me!! He enjoyed himself a lot more over the latter years in the few outings he got during the year in the veteran and vintage classes, where he had been well placed in every class. He was a truly lovely boy with the nicest of temperaments and a real character, still enjoying the odd rough and tumble in the garden with the youngsters. But his favourite pastime had to be finding a quiet corner where he can lie and sook his soft toys.
